Bleaum eCommerce Saas

This is a massive project that I designed for Bleaum.io. The company owning this Saas can instantaneously create website and mobile app instances for the outlet chains that want to sell their products online.

Scope of Work

I had designed this project for dispensary chains that wanted to take their products online and make it easier for their customers to reach them.

The project included:

  • Mobile app for end-users
  • Web portal for end-users
  • Super admin portal to manage client accounts
  • Chain admin portal (client-side admin portal) to manage dispensary accounts and end-users
  • Dispensary admin portal (primary eCommerce and end-user management portal for dispensary managers)

Introducing The Mobile App

Because these dispensaries are selling Cannabis, first-time users will have to access the app through an age confirmation wall. The app also provides an onboarding tour. Users can select another outlet from the drop-down to shop from there.

When you click on the menu icon, the home screen shrinks and moves to the right corner of the viewport to show the menu. The animation happens smoothly and looks really nice. Although, I'm generally hesitant to try such kinds of animations in an app I have noticed that they've gotten more common recently.

The app offered deals, brands and category modules to search through products. Deals were percentage discounts on product collections. For categories and brands, users can view them on a listing page and choose to shop from selected brand/category collection.

Super Admin Portal: Centralized Catalog & Onboarding Clients

A significant challenge was that of streamlining product catalog management. To address this, I introduced the Super Admin Portal. This central hub allowed super administrators to efficiently add and manage products within a unified catalog. By doing so, we relieved dispensary owners from the tedious task of individually inputting product data and images.

My design approach prioritized the user-friendliness of the portal, aiming to empower super administrators with intuitive tools for catalog maintenance.

Additionally, the super admin can swiftly onboard businesses simply by using their email addresses. Once added, these businesses receive links to their respective portal instances, accessible through their email addresses.

Dispensary Owner Portals: Empowering Multi-Outlet Management

I had introduced dispensary owner portals for clients managing multiple outlets. These portals allowed dispensary owners to create dedicated interfaces for each outlet, offering inventory managers straightforward access. My role in this initiative focused on designing user-friendly experiences to simplify outlet management. This approach facilitated efficient inventory control and the customization of discounts, improving overall usability.

Discounts, Coupons, and Memberships: Tailoring User Benefits

I designed features like discounts, coupons, and membership hierarchies, as this was one of the requirements from the client. Dispensary owners were given the flexibility to customize discounts to suit their unique needs. They could decide whether discounts applied to specific outlets, products, or categories, and even set expiration dates and discount types (percentage, amount, or a combination).

Additionally, membership levels were introduced, allowing owners to define purchase thresholds for membership access, specify demotion criteria, and determine the perks associated with each level. These enhancements aimed to provide users with tailored benefits while driving overall platform engagement.
